I recently found that I have 1000+ messages in my Console. Many of the messages say "Failed to count the number of files in [location]. No such file or directory." Other messages have to do with Safari and show what I assume is an error code of [4675]. Other messages have to do with launching. What do these mean? Is my compuer at risk? How can this be fixed?

If its' 'Failed to count the number of files in "/System/Library/StartupItems" then you can ignore it, or see here. Numerous Console messages can be quite normal, post any others - although they're likely not of any concern.
