iPhone 5 won't sync music from my iTunes library

How are you syncing your iPhone, wirelessly?

Try giving it more time to sync, if syncing wirelessly, or sync over USB (uncheck sync wirelessly on the iPhone summary page).

You could also try removing the music from the iPhone and then syncing it again or restarting the iPhone.

I had the same problem after installing iTunes 11.1, and started fiddling around with the settings in iTunes.
In the end, what worked for me, was unchecking the bitrate conversion box.
I've always had it checked, but when I unchecked it, the problem was solved and syncing went flawlessly.

Where is the bitrate conversion box? I have tried so many different things I have searched on this issue to no avail. It will be the last Apple product I buy.

plug iphone in -> summary -> scroll down to OPTIONS -> second to bottom selection.

(convert higher bit rate songs)

Just tried this and it worked.

Been there, done that......... All it did was move the three generic songs that came with the phone and moved them to my computer but did not move any of my songs from my computer to the phone.

What about the one below it "manually select songs"? I was honestly having the same problem until this morning. And clicked both of those.

Okay so I clicked manuelly select and then apply in the bottom right corner. Now what?

I clicked both the "manually select" and the "bit rate" and it click apply. Then click sync. When I did that, it finally took it.

It didn't make any difference at all.

Well crap! Lemme try it again and see if I can reenact it!

I figured I might as well throw this out there just incase.... I was using an external drive to store my music and even though it was connected to my PC none of the music I had in Itunes would "re-sync". Once I moved everything to the computer's "music" folder the problems stopped.

I did have to go look to see where it was located and it is on my computer not the external hard drive.

The thing is it is syncing but the only thing it did was move from phone to PC, which I didn't want. Trying to move all of my songs from my PC to my new Iphone 5.
