How do I give more ram?
I want to give more RAM to the Windows side of my Machine. I have 4GB but it's only give 2.7 to Windows 8. I need the 4Gig's for a Windows Phone 8 Emulator.
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

This is normal behavior, there is nothing you can do to change it (other than physically put more RAM in the computer). http://support.microsoft.com/kb/978610(the article talks about Windows 7 but the same applies to Windows 8)
you used the 32-bit version. you need to use 67-bit
OWC http://www.macsales.com is a great place just to see what RAM upgrades are available for your model, which of course would be helpful also. 4GB is on the light side even for Mac OS X (10.7.4? in your case)
Depending on which model of iMac he has it may not support 64-bit Windows. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5634
And if he only has 4 GB of RAM physically in the computer that won't make much of a difference anyway.

Where can I get the extra 3 bits đ
Yeah I have 3.75 Gigs of ram im running 64-bit. Dang that's still not enough. Looks like I got to get more ram. ughhh
Those are spares :-)
Darn keyboasrd has a mind of its own too!
OP: just which year/model of iMac is this? and specifically, which gpu does it use?
đ
It's a late 0'9 iMac 27''
3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB 1067 MHz Ram
I got Windows 8 on it by tricking Bootcamp, but that's besides the fact.
Install the 64bit version
