When I export a QTM the progress bar reaches 49% and stops, it still makes the movie but it doesn't show any other percentage other than 49% - I have had this problem for sometime but just not had a change to make a posting! Hopefully someone can help! I'm using FCPX Ver - 10.0.08

I wouldn't be concered about this; it's the same for everyone. I consider it to be a quirk that is a little disconcerting…unless you're aware it's been that way since the very first versions were released.

BTW, I would update to 10.0.9, which is generally more reliable for exports.

I am having this problem as well. It only creates a video form while it is exporting; when the export fails the file is no longer on the destination hard drive.

I'm going to try an update.
Two different issyues:
1) Project exports OK but progress bar is misleading.
2) Project doesn't export and progress bar is misleading.
Updating will likely cure the first part of the second issue – but not the second part.
