computer stolen how to find serial number

Hi there! So my laptop was stolen last week and I do not have anything in my posession that has the serial number on it. (the box is in storage in another state). I need the serial number to make a police report. Any way Apple has the serial number on file (as I've used apple care before?)

Any clues to how to find the serial number would be amazing. Thank you!
