6.1.3 update killed my iPod 4th generation

I recently installed the 6.1.3 iOS and it killed my 4th generation iPod; no wi-fi (grayed out), bluetooth is completely disabled and the battery dies in less than 15 mins. I even tried installing an old firmware file (6.0) and no luck. Anyone know how to fix it?

I can go into wifi in the settings but the option to turn it on is grayed out.

Bluetooth is grayed out and says not available.

My iPod gets super hot and the battery dies within 15 minutes of a full overnight charge. I had all the settings even cranked down to try and extend the battery life but no luck.

Does anyone know of a fix?

See:

iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim

One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem. A trick that works frequently with iPhones:

Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON

Power down and wait 5-10 minutes

Power up

Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF

If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.
