My ipad is disabeled by too many password attempts

Ive followed the instructions on the apple web site...but can not get ipad to respond.

Try this article http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212. Make sure you follow every step. If you use icloud it makes it easy.

note total data loss.

force recovery mode. open itunes on pc. plug cable into usb not device. turn device off. hold home button - connect usb - release home when connect to itunes graphic appears on device
