Q: iPad 2 Calendar issues

I cannot get my calendar to open on my iPad, when I press the calendar app I get a blank screen and the apple logo appears, the iPad then operates at half brightness until reset, all the other apps work apart from calendar, does anyone know what could be wrong? Thanks

    Try force closing the Calendar app: from the home screen, double-tap the home button, locate Calendar in the list at the bottom, tap and hold it until it wiggles, tap to close it, tap the home button again.  Then test it again.

     

    If it continues to fail, you probably need to restore your iPad.  Be sure to back it up before doing so.
