Ok so I have a mid 2010 macbook pro and it will not power up at all. I recently replaced the battery because it wasn't holding a charge. I charged it up until the power adapter led light was green. Now it wont turn on, I'm at a loss as to what to do.

SMC reset?
Try taking the battery out and turning it on with just the Adapter plugged in.
Reset for a battery you can remove, remove the battery, disconnect the power cord and hold the ower button for 5 seconds.
Reconnect the battery and the power cord and try starting.
I tried it and it still will not power up.
Try this SMC reset for a battery you should not remove yourself. Battery installed and power connected.
Was this an Apple battery or third party. If it was an Apple battery they will deal with it, if it was 3rd party you may have gotten a bad batt. contact the seller. Also make certain the cable is good and the pins are in good shape, as well as making certain it is connected correclty.
Mid 2010 came with a battery you should not remove yourself.
I also tried that option. I didn't think it was a bad battery because the led light was the orange/amber color when I plugged in the adapter and then it was green once it was done charging. But I guess it still could be bad? The other adapter I have also shows green when plugged in.
You can check this out, but if no joy you might want to bring it in for service, or get another battery if it is a 3rd party batt.
If it is a removable battery try taking out the batter and running on only the Power Adapter to see if it turns on.
I tried all of those options, nothing worked. I also tried without the battery and only the power adapter, nothing happened. I took my mbp to a computer service place and they said it could be a mother board/logic board issue. So I guess that's my next step. But thank you for your advice.
