I created a 2nd iTunes account when I bought my laptop. Even though I have shared both of my computers, I only can see the 2nd account at times. At other times I see my original one. How do I remove the 2nd account from my laptop so the 1st one will automatically come up?

Why did you create a second account? There was no reason to. Log out of that account in iTunes and log in with your original account.
I don't know how to log out of that account.
Click your Apple ID in iTunes:
and click "Sign Out".

OK. Thank you. I see that now. This means I have a bigger problem. It is only showing some albums that I downloaded. It doesn't have any of my playlists and only had 15 songs rather than the 2000 I have in my iTunes account. Help... 😕
Also it doesn't even have a box at the top of iTunes that shows my email account. Is it possible the icon link is just not connecting to my iTunes account? But why would the songs I download end up in a blank iTunes page?

iTunes account is not iTunes library.
iTunes acount is what you make purcahses with.
iTunes library is where these purchases (and other music ) is stored on your computer.
You will need to copy the items from the iTunes folder/library on one computer to the other iTunes library on your other computer.
I don't understand what you mean. Are you looking at the iTunes Store in iTunes on your system, or your iTunes library? What does the button say in the upper right? Or are you using a version of iTunes prior to iTunes 11?
Your personal data will not just magically appear on your new computer. You must put it there by transfering it from another computer or from a backup. These Apple KB articles will help you:
