Old iPod Touch frozen on the apple sign?

Hello, I have a very old iPod Touch that I have had for quite a while. So I finally found a use for it and so I grabbed it and when I got into it, I noticed it was a little slow. There was nothing important on it so I went into settings and reset the whole iPod Touch. It has been frozen on the apple sign before it powers on for hours and I waited, tried rebooting it, and they haven't worked. I have no idea what to do. I think it's the first generation iPod Touch. It's very old and doesn't have a camera on it. Please help me! Thanks!😕🙂
