Alternatively, if your media was downloaded from the iTunes Store, you may be able to download it again free of charge:

Sep 13, 2013 10:27 AM in response to Krob78by jjdubz,My music (on a iPhone 3g) is from CD's I own which were synced to a lap top no longer in existence, this is also pre-cloud. My MBAir syncs just fine otherwise. How do I get my older music with out having to install one disk at a time.
