If it does load up a search, the iPad closes down App Store, returns to home screen and, upon re-opening, the search has been deleted. Help please? more

2. Hold the App Store app down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Re-launch the app and test
Note: If necessary close all apps in the Task Bar

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

I had tried the first solution a number of times with no luck. The reset seems to have allowed the store to begin working again. It still seems slow, which is how it went before starting this problem. At last now I know how to solve it, should the problem arise again.
