Drag your Windows formatted volume to the Spotlight &gt; Privacy preference pane to prevent Spotlight from indexing that volume.Also, Google Chrome and all its related components will push a Mac with only 2 GB memory to its limits. Uninstall it and use a browser written by a company that knows how to write for OS X. Right now that excludes Google.
