Reinstall previously purchased MS Office without product key/disc

Hello,

My macbook pro completely died several months ago- I took it to the apple store and there is no way to revive it. I just purchased a new laptop (macbook air) and want to download Microsoft office. I do NOT want to have to pay for it again when I had previously done so on my old laptop.

I don't have a product key/disc- and there's no way to access any information from my dead laptop.

I hope there is a way to do this!!

You'll have to contact Microsoft if you no longer have the activation code. There is a digital download available at -> http://www.microsoft.com/mac/office-2011-digital-download - but you'll need your activation code.

It sounds as if what your asking is for Microsoft to replace software that you have no official proof of ever having owned. I'm not saying you didn't, in fact, own it, mind you. Do you have a receipt maybe? In any event, you're going to need to contact Microsoft and plead your case.
