iTunes quits unexpectedly

iTunes 11.0.5 repeatedly quits unexpectedly about 25 seconds after the application launches. I have tried re-booting and re-installing the software (from Apple site). The problem persists. Does anyone know of a fix? I am using a MacBookPro, Mac OS 10.7.5. All software is current per "Check for new software".

Try removing the itunes plists: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4301

You want to remove the com.apple.itunes - plists

Excellent! Thanks for the help. I followed your instructions and found that I needed to make the changes in both the iTunes safemode and the MAC OS safemode. Your fix worked and iTunes 11.0.5 is working again.
