'My' Ranover iPad Mini

Hi Guys,

Looking for some advise - several weeks ago I found an iPad mini (3g) outside my house totally smashed screen and all in all the worst condition I've ever seen an Apple product in! When the ipad is on you can see some light underneath the smashed screen which may suggest that this can be fixed? the buttons all still work and i have been able to unlock the iPad by judging where the 'swipe to unlock' is. Does this show that this can be fixed? Just yesterday I thought I would plug it into my computer tp get the serial Code and arrange to meet the genius' to see what I could do however when I plug it in although the iPad detects that it has been plugged in the computers (I've tried two different computers) the computer doesn't. Can I arrange an appointment with a Genius? What should I expect them to say to this iPad?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

M
