I got an iphone as a gift and i restore my iphone back to the factory settings while activating it i dont have the sim because my aunt lives in another country from me now my itunes say it needs a sim to do so, how do i get it to activate it. I have all the info where it was purchase, date an place including the imei number. Please I want my phone to be ligit itunes keep telling me about sim need to be in phone.

All iPhones require a SIM card to be present in the phone for activation. No way around this.
SO I am asking can I insert any carrier an it is activated..my aunt live in England an I live in Jamaica, are should I pay for an unlock an insert a sim from my country. Man I really want this fix 😟 plzz can any apple expert help me
If the phone is locked to a carrier, only a SIM from that carrier can be used. If the phone has been unlocked by official means via the original carrier, than any SIM card will do.

You can ask any carrier to unlock a phone. Whether or not they do is another story. Some carriers to not unlock phones under any circumstance, others have requirements that must be met.
