I used iPhoto to directly upload my albums to Facebook. If I delete the photos in iPhoto, will it also delete the albums on facebook? Any way to avoid that if the answer is yes, without creating a new facebook album?

When you delete a photo from your Facebook album in iPhoto you will see this panel:
The Facebook album in iPhoto and on Facebook are kept in sync. Deleting from either album will delete the photo from the mirrored site.
