Airport Utility

I have just bought a new Airport Express and am trying to configure it using Airport Utility from a Windows laptop.

User manual says Windows 7 (SP1) and AU 5.6.1 required. Both of which I have.

I can see the Airport from the PC but as soon as I try to configure it, it starts to read the device and then I get the following error message.

Fortunately I have an old netbook running Windows XP and AU 5.5.1 and this works fine.

Any Ideas

Errors such as you describe are usually due to Windows firewall or "anti-virus" programs. Use a Mac, an iPad, or iPhone to configure your Express.

Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I don't have any Apple devices.

I can configure it from an XP machine running the same firewall and antivirus programs.

I just can't do it from my Windows 7 laptop
