What iPhone did you have ? iPads (excluding the Mini) use a micro-sim, the same as the iPhone 4 and 4S

However, the SIM-eject tool will not go into the small hole at 45 degrees, just vertically & nothing happened. The old iphone I still have is version 3 so it doesn't have a micro-sim, unlike my present iphone 4 which does. So I shall buy a new micro-sim & take ipad to apple shop to get them to open the sim-card tray. Thanks again.
