Q: How do I open Micro-SIM card tray in my new iPad without damaging it?

I have just bought a new iPad, wi-fi + cellular, latest version. I cannot open the Micro-SIM card tray & I am worried in case I damage it by putting a pin in the hole next to the tray. How do I open it & can I put in SIM card from an old iPhone?

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.3, 64 GB

You should have a sim eject in the iPad's box, and to eject the sim-card tray (from here) :

What iPhone did you have ? iPads (excluding the Mini) use a micro-sim, the same as the iPhone 4 and 4S

Thanks for this advice & for the diagram - very helpful. However, the SIM-eject tool will not go into the small hole at 45 degrees, just vertically & nothing happened. The old iphone I still have is version 3 so it doesn't have a micro-sim, unlike my present iphone 4 which does. So I shall buy a new micro-sim & take ipad to apple shop to get them to open the sim-card tray. Thanks again.
