I know that we are allowed up to 10 devices to be associated to our Apple ID's, with a max of 5 of them being a computer(s). Other then computers, what devices are/can be apart of the 10 devices to be associated with ones Apple ID? What devices require/suggested to be associated to an Apple ID?

So besides computers, the devices simply revers to any and all iPads, iPhones and iPods(and the computer(s)) that are connected to your iTunes library and therefor your Apple ID?
Yes, but they should only become associated if you do any of those 3 things on it e.g. if you sync content to one of them from your computer's iTunes then it won't become associated - and it's only iPod Touches, not the other iPod models as you can't do those on them
I have same problem with my accounts... this is not acceptable I paid good and full money for movies and other things and apple is telling me I am not allowed to watch them on also my hardware, god this makes me mad... please people buy no more apple movies or shows until they fix this. We can only do something against rip-offs like this if we stick together.

You don't need to have a device or computer associated to your account to be able to play films on it.

Whether you can redownload any item depends upon what country that you are in, and whether they remain in your country's store. But as you've been keeping a backup copy of all of your downloads, as the store's terms of use advise you to, that shouldn't matter - you are only guaranteed one download of each item.
