Q: I'm selling my iPhone 4 on Amazon and I can't get the old sim card out.

I've had my 5 for about a year and am finally getting around to selling my 4. My phone number is assigned to my 5 and I've totally reset the 4 to erase all settings and data. Is there really a need to remove the sim card? I've tried doing it from the diagram with the paper clip, and I can't get the tray to release. Is there a trick to it?

You do need the old SIM Card. It can sometimes be needed by the New owner to activate the iPhone so it can at least be used as a iPod. So just leave the SIM Card in if you want. The only information the SIM Card of iPhone should have is your phone number, but this SIM cannot be used again to make calls.
