I have two Apple routers but the other one won't sync with the main Apple router. What do I do?

I have two Apple routers so the wi-fi is stronger, but the small one doesn't want to sync with the main one. Which leaves me with weak wi-fi.


What can I do and the steps to make it connect.


I use to have the big one (check the picutre) connected and the small one in some part of the house that will boost the wi-fi.



Check picture.. Please help me. (Go step by step)
