USB Headset not working with Rosetta Stone -- Upgraded to Mac OSX 10.7

So I recently upgraded to Mac OSX 10.7 (Lion). When I attempted to use my Logitech USB Headset with Rosetta Stone (3.4.5), the sound wouldn't come through the headphones anymore. The mic worked fine but the sound from the program wouldn't play through the earphones. I verified in System Preferences > Sound and Logitech USB were selected for Output and Input. Anyone else had this problem?

I had the same issue, and I just fixed the problem!!! I couldnt find it anywhere in the web, but i was messing with the configurations of the headset in audio midi set up and I found that if you change the "format" from 1600.00 Hz to higher options, it will work like a charm!!!

I hope this helps and saves time to anybody reading this!!! (i was about to return my headset to best buy before finding the solution, because I couldn't use the headset with Rosetta Stone)

I'm using my macbook air 2014 with Yosemite update on it.

questions? reply to this and I'll receive an email 😉😉

You're welcome "Apple Care support team" !!! 😝 🙂

PS: No need for the "multi output" solution... it didn't work for me anyways.

I tried both methods and it did not work. I have OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and the latest Rosetta Stone.

I tried the Multi-Output Device and it won't let me assign the Mic to it. The weird part is I had a Rosetta Stone headset and it worked fine. Then it broke during a move and I can't get my logitech or the new headset I ordered from Rosetta Stone to work either. Any other tips would help if you have them, thanks!

I had a difficult time with it too, which is how I ended up here. The mystery is that you have to select the Logitech in the midi Audio Devices menu, then click the gear icon in the bottom left corner. It pulls up a menu, where you need to select "use this device for output" and again for input. They made that clear as mud, huh?

Still can't get it to work on Chrome with Rosetta Stone but at least I'm one step closer and now I can listen to music on my headset while Firefox downloads and I try to figure out the rest. GL
