Sep 12, 2013 2:05 AM in response to 19jessica89by Carolyn Samit,Hi ...
Try emptying the Safari cache. Press Command + Option + E then quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that doesn't help, try this DNS.
Open System Preferences > Network > Advanced > DNS
Click + and type:
208.67.222.222
Click + again and do the same.
208.67.220.220
Click OK.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Sep 12, 2013 9:59 AM in response to 19jessica89by Linc Davis,Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them.
1. Have you restarted your router and broadband modem since you first noticed the problem? If the answer is no, do that now and see whether there's any change.
2. Are any other web browsers installed, and are they the same?
3. What about other Internet applications, such as iTunes and the App Store?
4. Are there any other devices on the same network that can browse the Web, and are they affected?
5. If you can test Safari on another network, is it the same there?
6. If you connect to your router with Wi-Fi and you can also connect with Ethernet, do that and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?

2. Yes, google chrome, but only recently to try if the problem would persist in another browser (yes).
3. Yes, iTunes, dropbox, app store.
4. Yes, windows devices, cellphones (both apple and android). They are all unaffected.
5. The only place I don't experience the problem (so far) is at university where I use and eduroam network.
6. No Ethernet port on my computer.
