My ipad was low on battery, put on charge but not charging, it was cycling between ON/OFF, showing ''RED Bar'' and apple logo then tripped off.

My ipad was low on battery, put on charge but not charging, it was cycling between ON/OFF, alternating between "RED battery low BAR" and apple logo then tripped off and repeatedly cycling non-stop. What should I do to correct this?

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.1

1. Clean docking port with clean tooth brush

2. Try another wall socket

3. Try another cable (make sure it's an original Apple cable)

4. Try another charger (make sure it's an original Apple charger)
