Scripting Interface Dialog on Close
Windows 8
I do not have iTunes Folder Watch installed and I do not know of any scripts running against the library.
Thanks,
PSkilton
Anything else that might interact with iTunes? Last,fm perhaps?

Not that I know of, by the time I go to close iTunes the only programs open, are things not necessarily closed without killing the process (Google Drive, McAfee, iCloud, and the little driver/program for a BlueTooth dongle). Is it possible that it is McAfee causing the problem? I know that the before the last iTunes update, the XML settings were deleted on close due to McAfee.
I can't see that McAfee, or indeed any of the others you mention, have any need to connect to the iTunes automation object/scripting interface. I can only suggest you try closing each in turn and then see if iTunes complains again if you open and close it.
