However this error below appears to be a known issue. Lots of people getting this erro . See Google

You have not specified from the beginning that ,
This site is secure.
The site security settings are preventing probably what you're trying to do ,
Try to Talk to those who give you space on his server and check with them the settings ...

Well I've just done that. We got rid of the old SSL and installed a new one but the errors persist
It looks like this issue is a known problem as its all over google and this forum.
I was just wondering if there were any solutions.
People mention modifying keychain etc....

I think you need to specify in the first page of the site that - do not support Safari browser -
And offer to download other browsers that do support,
