Cant click the songs in the search bar that i type out

When i type out a song or artist that im trying to find i cant double click it to play. This also happens in the itunes store. I have to push enter instead of just clicking on the suggested songs. I have tried uninstalling itunes and it is at the most current update. Please help! thanks
