How to reset Lost AirPlay password to Apple TV

I have lost my password to AirPlay for entering Apple TV from my iPad & Mac. Can anyone tell me how to fix the problem. I have seen how to RESTORE Apple TV but am not sure if I then can enter a new password or will get lost?
