Corrupt SSD on 2012 MBA?

Hello there! I've got a 64GB Mid-2012 11" 10.8 Macbook Air, that won't start start up. The first time this happened, I did Command+R, reformatted the SSD, and restored from Time Machine. However, it is now giving me Error -6003F. I am 99% sure that the SSD is fried, but I decided to ask here if there is anything else I could try before I get the drive replaced. I've tried Command+Alt+P+R, and I've tried Command-R while connected to different networks, but had no success. If there's anything else I could try before I either pay Apple to fix it, or buy a drive from OWC, that would be appreciated.

Here's all the possible boot outcomes I've found:

  • Starting it up normally gives me a blinking question mark folder
  • Doing CMD+R pulls up "apple.com/support -6003F"
  • Holding Alt-Option while booting allows me to connect to my Wi-Fi, select "Internet Recovery" and then brings me to the 6003F (my internal drive does not show up under that menu.

The Macbook is out of warranty, and I don't have access to any other Mac, nor do I own an installation CD. If anyone has any ideas, that would really help me out.

You can start Internet Recovery with USB-drive connected.

There are many posts about this problem.

Look there: All of my friends who are using MBA mid-2012 have SSD failures.

I have a MBA 13" 2012 brought on August 2012 with no Apple care. These day I felt that the performance was not so good and the wake up was slow. I did some disk check and the SSD was going bad. So, When I saw all the issue about the toshiba/sandforce SSD/controler combo , I backup everything and I went the Apple Store yesterday. The guy told me that he will change the SSD with no charge. Because the replacement SSD is out of stock, it will take around 2 weeks to receive the SSD. Hopefully, I didn't lose anything. I feel that Apple will make a recall for these portable with toshiba SSD and sanforce combo. (sorry for my bad English BTW)
