Q: Corrupt SSD on 2012 MBA?

Hello there! I've got a 64GB Mid-2012 11" 10.8 Macbook Air, that won't start start up. The first time this happened, I did Command+R, reformatted the SSD, and restored from Time Machine.  However, it is now giving me Error -6003F.  I am 99% sure that the SSD is fried, but I decided to ask here if there is anything else I could try before I get the drive replaced. I've tried Command+Alt+P+R, and I've tried Command-R while connected to different networks, but had no success. If there's anything else I could try before I either pay Apple to fix it, or buy a drive from OWC, that would be appreciated.

Here's all the possible boot outcomes I've found:

  • Starting it up normally gives me a blinking question mark folder
  • Doing CMD+R pulls up "apple.com/support -6003F"
  • Holding Alt-Option while booting allows me to connect to my Wi-Fi, select "Internet Recovery" and then brings me to the 6003F (my internal drive does not show up under that menu.

The Macbook is out of warranty, and I don't have access to any other Mac, nor do I own an installation CD. If anyone has any ideas, that would really help me out.

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)
