How do I connect my iPhone to a new computer without restoring my iPhone to factory setting?

My old computer crashed. I just recently got a new computer. I re-downloaded iTunes to it and want to connect my iPhone. My problem is that everytime I try to connect my iPhone to my computer it tells me to restore my iPhone to factory setting. Is there way to connect my iPhone without restoring my iPhone to factory setting utlimately losing all my infomation on it?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4

It sounds like iTunes think's somethings wrong with your device. Just do a hard reset and see if that works (hold home and power for 10 seconds). If it doesnt back up your iphone to icloud then restore your iphone to factory settings but if you restore you will lose your music because icloud doesnt back up your library but you can download transfer software so you can add your music from your iphone to your pc. I use syncios but there are others out there just google it.
