preview preferences

Many of my PDF files seem to suddenly be corrupted. I'd like to trash my preview preferences, but can't seem to locate them. Are there preferences for "preview" that I can trash?

Thank you for your help = Scott

Choose Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu, provide ~/Library/Preferences/ as the path, and move the com.apple.Preview.plist item inside to the Trash. You may also want to open the PDFs in Safari.

I found the preferences thank you, but while I was trouble shooting I opened up Adobe reader and said yes to a feature that makes all the PDF's to default yo opening up in Adobe Reader, now that preview is working better I want to disable this function but don't know where it is. I tried trashing the Adobe Reader preferences, but that didn't do it. There must be a setting for this somewhere....
