Oct 2, 2014 10:02 AM in response to roaminggnomeby Amuhrican,I believe the original question was "How can I transfer my iPhone music to my iTunes library?" It was not "What sort of device is an iPhone" or "Can I move iTunes libraries in between computers."
Please take your technological arrogance elsewhere.

Oct 14, 2014 8:15 PM in response to lydianicoleeeeby K2corc,I too was troubled by this issue, I had switched computers but did not move over the iTunes library assuming it could be done Phone-to-iTunes. There is an app that I found called Senuti which works perfectly. The only catch is that it is free only up to 1000 songs. You simply open the app with your phone connected, then select a folder for the music to be placed. Then, your iPhone music library will appear and you can select your songs and click the "transfer" button with the green arrow.
Hope this helps!

Dec 1, 2014 10:47 PM in response to lydianicoleeeeby EstebanKinard,To transfer music from iPhone to iTunes, launch iPhone transfer, click music, click "export", then in the pop up window, choose export to iTunes. Then you're done.

Dec 22, 2014 2:00 AM in response to EstebanKinardby Eliot Mess,While I read of everyone's gratitude about DeTune, it does not look right on the download site. It looks like the domain has lapsed. The links just go round and round offering you similar things, but not free.
Anyway, in my experience free downloads almost always have a hook, or like spyware or a search bar installing itself, the process or tricking you into installing something else.
Turingtest2, has DeTune become an Invisible Game? [ok that was obscure, sorry]

Dec 22, 2014 3:51 AM in response to Eliot Messby turingtest2,Thanks for the heads up. I've pulled DeTune from the list. I should probably go through and clean up one or two others. For Windows users I'm leaning towards recommending MediaMonkey as it is both free and easy enough to use to pull specific files out, or everything.

Dec 31, 2014 9:30 PM in response to lydianicoleeeeby C.J. Perlotto,What you have to do is, open up Itunes on your computer, plug your phone in and then go to:
File>Devices>Transfer Purchases from [Device Name]
I know this is an old post but I just wanted to see if I could help anyone else

Feb 4, 2015 6:55 PM in response to roaminggnomeby eunycha, indeed iPhone is not a storage, it doesn't have the capacity to be used as storage. However, you can accidentally format or lose data on your computer and lose all the music. In this case, people would like to restore the music from the iPhones back to new or reinstalled computers!
