I have this really expensive computer.
I am upset that I cannot use iBooks or read comics/books I download through iTunes. *** apple, did I not spend enought of my money ?

Because Apple hadn't created a Mac OS X application capable of reading them. They have now and will include it in Mac OS X 10.9.

Apple did recently announce same about ibooks thru the future OSX.
iBooks is not currently available on OSX. It is a different operating system that IOS where iBooks is currently supported. Apple has indicated that the new OSX Mavericks will have iBooks support.
Alternatively, you can download the free Kindle software for your Mac and purchase books through Amazon for Kindle.

Note also that Mavericks iBooks will be a very different beast from iPad's iBooks. The iPad version (and most iBooks and iMags I've seen) are optimized for a touchscreen experience. Something the Macs do not have and will have to emulate somehow with a trackpad.
