Why can't my Macbook Pro not use Ibooks

I have this really expensive computer.

I am upset that I cannot use iBooks or read comics/books I download through iTunes. *** apple, did I not spend enought of my money ?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Because Apple hadn't created a Mac OS X application capable of reading them. They have now and will include it in Mac OS X 10.9.
