okay, so i tried an external display my friend let me borrow, it shows up perfect on the external display, no red snow whatsoever. so what exactly is causing it.?
Process of elimination complete, mostly, ...... now youve isolated it to either the lvds monitor cable or the monitor itself,
.....however there STILL could be a damaged connection AT the logic board (meaning still, bad logic) between the cable male connector and the female on the logic, however if forced to estimate (since I dont have the computer in hand) which it is, id assume cable and/monitor.
If you get away with a bad cable its cheap, monitor or logic (due to bad connector) certainly not so.
Make appt with Apple for diagnostic and full isolation of source.
