Mini Display / Thunderbolt to Monitor

Hi,

So I currently have a 2010 MacBook pro which I connect to my monitor with a NEET cables mini display - HDMI adapter. I am planning on getting a 2013 MacBook Air soon; will this cable still work or will I need a completely new thunderbolt - HDMI adapter?
