I cannot access my old Aperture Library with my new computer and new Aperture. My old computer had a hard drive crash and the old Aperture is not backed up. But the external hardrive where my files is fine. Any advice?

Try holding down the Option key when you start Aperture. If your old library is not in the list (likely), click on "other library" and navigate to your old library on the external disk. This assumes your old library was on the external disk, and not in the default location on your system drive which crashed.
What exactly happens when you try to access the library on the external drive? Any error messages?

How is your external drive formatted? What is the file system on that drive? And how is the drive connected? Directly connected or via network?
