Cannot repair disk

I tried repairing my disk, and it said repaird but it wasn't. So I then verified it, and it said I needed to boot into reovery and repair, which I did (verified and repaired). Then I booted back into my normal system and tried partitioning (which was the original goal), and it couldn't. So I tried verifying and it said I need to repair again in recovery, leading me to believe it didn't repair the first time.

How can I get it to repair properly?

If the computer is started up from the Mac OS X hard disk (or disk partition) and Disk Utility finds errors on it, there is not necessarily anything wrong. Only when started up from the CD should Disk Utility reports of errors on the Mac OS X hard disk (or disk partition) be considered accurate.

Disk Utility incorrectly reports disk errors on startup volume
