I am having trouble editing scanned photo's its sticks on all of the tools and after executing each command.

Does anyone know how to reset the editing programme on iphoto. When i try and edit a scanned photo, its sticks on all the commands, and takes forever to crop straiten enhance etc. when it eventually crops a photo, when you try and print it goes back to the original photo?

iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)

Details please

What version of iPhoto

What color profile are the photos? What are the pixel dimensions of the photos?

Is this only with scanned photos or all photos?

Anything else you can tell us?

As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?
