Mac Pro late 2006 with an airport card but it doesnt pick up any wifi

I recently bought an airport card for my mac pro but it doesnt pick up any of the wifi networks in my house, it doesnt see any networks. It says it is the card is turned on but it isn't connected to a network. I had previously had it connected to an ethernet network and it worked perfectly i have tried to follow the assist me button but it brings me right back to the start.

(i have installed it myself)

please help 😕

Hi ..

Try this support artilce > Wi-Fi Quick Assist

And check System Preferences > Network

Select Wi-Fi on the left then make sure your network is selected from the Network Name pop up menu.

The click Advanced. Make sure your network is at the top of the Preferred Networks list.

the wifi assist link didnt and there are no networks showing whatsoever. and i was within 4 metres of the router i also tried entering it manually but it said that i got the password wrong

thanks

Do you have the correct card for your model Mac Pro? Incorrect cards may not work with the latest OX X.

Did you install it correctly?

Did you connect the antenna leads correctly?

Some Mac Pros had the antenna leads mislabelled.
