You can reinstall Safari from here > Safari 5.1.9 for Snow Leopard
Before you do that, try this ..
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then press Command + Option + E on your keyboard to empty the Safari cache.
Try your Outlook account. If that didn't help, try reinstalling Safari from the link above.
Thanks Carolyn, unfortunately neither of these steps solved the problem. In looking at todays updates which appear to have caused the issues, one was the safari update from .9 to .10, which I downloaded again. Though the newest safari update shows under installed software along with the one from 10:32am; the space for "version" is blank. Should I just delete the latest Safari software with version not listed? The other update was Security Update 2013-004 version 1.0. Not to confuse things, I had been thinking about uninstalling outlook 2011 or the whole office suite if I have to and then reinstalling, as my outlook has had major issues for months, such as, search feature does not work. Is there a way of reinstalling outlook without losing all the emails in outlook? How do I make outlook useable? thanks again!
