Q: I downloaded an Adele album several months ago and now when I go to play a song itunes tells me it can't locate it. How can I get it back?

How do I locate the album I downloaded several months ago on iTunes.

I paid for it and listened to it before but now it says it can't be located

Alternatively, if the album was purchased via the iTunes Store, you might consider deleting the existing album from iTunes, then redownloading it from the iTunes Store.
