My Macbook Pro will say its connected to my university wifi, but it wont load anything. I have tried literally everything I can think of and im drawing a blank. Can some brain help me please?

What does "it won't load anything" mean?

As well as arthurs question, just what have you tried? No use getting suggestions you have already tested. Some campus networks require you to be given permission to use the network, do you have that permision if required?

1. try a different browser
2. talk to the IT people at your university.

   It helps to bring a donut when talking to IT people.

3. Check your firewall settings. Try turning off the firewall.
4. If you have something like LIttle Snitch on (something restricting outgoing network traffic), turn that off.
5. Try deleting all your network settings and redoing them.
6. Try deleting your network .plist files, and restarting, and redoing the preferences.

Reading the Xpressconnect web page states that you need Java installed to use that service, that is how I undersatnd it.

Do you have the latest version of Java for Apple installed? The Jar applet seems to setup your wifi for you.

I like arthurs second suggestion, sounds like a good step, it is worth a try. Don't forget the donuts.

.. check with your school's IT department.. you can usually connect to college wifi but they also usually require a VPN password to actually use it.. they might also require that you "register" your computer before attemting to connect. They should be able to explain how to connect.
