my iPod nano 6 will not turn on and when it does it turns white.

i have got an ipod nano 6th generation, I have had it for a year. But now when i turn it on the screen is white and sometimes it does not even turn on and will not do anything not even charge it worked when i started to charge one night and now it has stopped working, when i try to sync it into itunes it will not even recognise it, i have tried this on many devices and have updated itunes to the newest one.
