iTunes will not open

Question

iTunes will not open

I downloaded the latest verizon of iTunes and now it won't open. Says it's no compatible with Windows 7 (64 bit)... so I uninstalled it and reinstalled the older version, and now that won't even open. What's going on?

I went through all these steps before and did them again this time and I'm still getting the same thing. I opened up the Task Manager to see if iTunes even opens, and it's .exe file does open; however, the program itself is no displayed. I've changed the compatibility mode and it does nothing. I ran Windows trouble shooting on the program and received the "Incompatible Application" error with no further steps to remedy the problem.
