i Have a 2nd generation apple tv. This is the only model that was made with internal memory, i believe. I need to retrieve, transfer my photos and music from that memory onto a macbood pro. the original computer that is was synced to crashed. does anyone know how to do this?

All Apple TV's have some sort of storage, but the only one that you can choose what you keep in that storage is the Apple TV 1 which is grey and silver not black. Can you confirm which model you have.

You would need to remove the drive from the Apple TV and connect it to a Mac with the appropriate cradle, you can then access the photos through the Finder.
There may be other methods, but none which can be discussed in these communities, but may be found using Bing.
