Rented movie on ipad itunes...can't find it anywhere.

Hey guys,

I've seen there's plenty of threads that talk about this but I am yet again one of the many that cannot find movies I rented on iTunes in my iPad mini.

I've check in the video app (I've restarted the app several times hoping they would finally appear). I've also looked for movie titles in the home screen search but no luck.

Both movies have been charged to my credit card and I've actually seen them finishing the download and simply disappear.

One last thing I've tried (and that is after I read lots of posts without really getting an answer to my problem), is changing my iTunes country. When I click to change the country a red message tells me that I have unexpired movies to watch....and it does not allow me to change country.

This is extremely frustrating. Please help!

Thanks in advance.

You will lose ur data unless u back up ur apps to itunes(comp) and sync again once u connect ur ipad to comp after reset but im not really sure if this will get ur rental back ,if you dont want to take risk then dont go ahead, i have no any idea how u will get this back.To deleted account and re-entry i dont know if this work.

Pressing sync in iTunes will not transfer the rental. The problem is that Apple's support document incorrectly refers to a sync process instead of the rental transfer process. I managed to get my rental movie to finally show up by doing the following (using iOS 10.1.1):

1. Plug your iOS device into your Mac via USB cable and open iTunes.

2. Select Films from the dropdown menu at the top of the sidebar.

3. Right click on your rental film, choose Add to Device, and click on your device. Your rental will immediately transfer to the device (see pic below). The transfer is not a 'sync' and using the word "sync" in support literature is what confuses users. Apple only allows one copy of the rental on any device at one time so even though iTunes shows "Copying 1 of 1 ... " it's actually moving not copying.

4. After the transfer completes open the Videos app (not iTunes or the App Store) on the device.

5. You should now see Rentals along with other categories at the top of the screen (together with 'Films' 'TV Programmes').

6. Press Rentals and you should see your rental movie.

Hope this helps!
