Final Cut Pro X upload to youtube sub channel

I have a secondary youtube channel on my one gmail account. When I upload from FCPX it just puts it on main channel, anyway to export to the secondary channel? Otherwise what options do i have to get there? Thanks

You can. If you go to your youtube page, click your avatar icon in the top right and choose youtube settings, click advanced and you'll see your account has a weird E-Mail. This is the E-Mail you use. Click change or add password and follow the links untill you create yourpassword, then open Final Cut.

In Final Cut click the share button on the far right, then add destination, then the youtube option in the right hand box. Use the weird E-Mail and the password you created and then click OK. You can double click the new option in the sidebar to rename it, and you can add as many different youtube export options as you like!

As far as I can tell, that weird e-mail is for mobile uploads.

Go to advanced and click change or add password, you'll need this when you set it all up in final cut. On the advanced page you'll see account information with an E-Mail that looks something like this:

bdwhitehead23-7393@pages.plusgoogle.com

that's the e-mail you want to use in fcpx allong with the password that you create when you click 'change or add password.

Here's the fix!

How to upload to a YouTube channel, sub channel, managed channel, etc.

1. Switch to your personal account.

Click your avatar in the top-right, and click switch, then click on your account.

2. Click on the gear icon, and click on YouTube Settings and go to Advanced.

On the centre of the page, under Overview, Account Information, you'll find your avatar, and the word 'Advanced'.

3. Change your default channel to the one you want.

A new heading will have appeared, not visible when logged in as your channel, "Signing in to older apps." Underneath that, there is a drop-down menu that says Use My Current Account. Click it and select the channel you want to be the default upload channel.

You will still be able to choose channels on newer apps, but this will make the default channel whatever you choose on those apps which don't give you the option.

You're welcome!

This has changed a little.

How to upload to a YouTube channel, sub channel, managed channel, etc.

1. Switch to your desired account.

Click your avatar in the top-right, and click switch, then click on your desired account.

2. Click on the gear icon, and click on YouTube Settings and go to Advanced.

On the centre of the page, under Overview, Account Information, you'll find your avatar, and the word 'Advanced' next to it (its very small).

3. Set as Default Channel for your email

Under the Default Channel Tick the "Use this channel (Your channel name) when I sign in to my your@email.com account".

And save.
